About Us and Our Bulldogs

Maraul Bulldogs consists of  not only the bulldogs but also of their people Rick, Dena, Alyssa, Karlee, and Nate. We are located on approximately 11 acres in Southwest Minnesota.  When the weather permits our English Bulldogs have the privilege of romping and resting on  4 acres of fenced in yard with mature  trees to offer them shade. Ricks job allows Dena to stay home full time to be available for the Gustaf children and to play with the bulldogs

Our Bulldog Breeding Program

The Maraul English Bulldog breeding program started because of  Dena and Ricks love affair with the  bulldog breed. After serious research Rick and Dena decided that they liked the look of  the English Bulldogs from the top European kennels.  They purchased their first English Bulldog from Iroc Bulldogs. Later they imported a beautiful bulldog boy from Of the Tivoli Bulls in Belgium. In 2006 they decided that we needed to outcross to add more substance and bulldog type to their breeding program and they Introduced two Gorgeous English Bulldog males, one from Shack-n-Lo and Stoneybrook Kennels in the USA, and a beautiful healthy bulldog female from Millerbull Kennels also from the USA  The Bulldogs of  Maraul  blood lines from Europe consist of   Merriveen, Tivolli Bulls, Kelloe, Aldridge Lynmans, Kingrock, Medbull, Isgraig, Mihanlo, and many of the top blood lines in America including Millerbull,  and Shack-N-Lo

The main goal in the Maraul Bulldog breeding program is health and temperament. Rick and Dena believe that by carefully implementing the imported English Bulldog blood lines with American and Canadian lines they are strengthening the genetic soundness in the English Bulldog breed.   Maraul English Bulldogs are focused on the lovely Bulldog head and proper jaw, and correct turn of shoulder and length of back.

We breed only to bulldogs that conform to the AKC, and BCA  (Bulldog Club of America) standards, are healthy and have the wonderful bulldog temperament! We are dedicated to producing bulldogs that not only look good on the family couch but also in the show ring.

We occasionally have  English Bulldog puppies available to those special homes. all of our  English Bulldog puppies are raised in a loving, clean environment in the office and TV room, receive tons of attention from our children, ourselves and receive the best vet care available. Please do your research before getting your English Bulldog puppy. We have some links on our site that discusses some of the issues. We prefer to visit via the phone regarding any available English Bulldog puppies that may be available.  Please be aware that although an English Bulldog puppy is expensive this is not a "money making" endeavor. When visiting with different breeders be aware that the breeders that are doing the "right" thing are not as concerned about the money as they are about you being the right home.  Breeding and exhibiting English Bulldogs is not only monetarily  expensive but also very emotionally expensive and  a very time consuming passion for those of us who are truly dedicated to this breed.

Be Cautious of any breeder  living in the USA that is selling puppies from other countries. If you want a puppy from overseas please contact the breeder directly.
